POSITION PAPER

The Historical Crisis Committee (HCC) is a committee that operates differently from other MUN committees. Here, delegates travel back in time and represent specific historical figures, simulating a historical event in real time. In this committee, delegates will be presented with the opportunity to re-write history from their figure’s personal ideologies. Delegates must demonstrate creative problem solving, knowledge, strategy, and the ability to work under pressure in order to create and resolve crises that will form the basis of the debate. Delegates are allowed the freedom to be the drivers of the debate, using innovative notes, clauses, and crises to advance their own personal agenda.

Measures to promote international governance and cooperation on an international canal.
