Hello everyone!
My name is Emma Giannicchi, and I am deeply honoured to be serving as one of the Deputy Secretary Generals of Special Committees for PANAMUN XXXIV. I am 17 years old and a senior at the International School of Panama, and this is my third PANAMUN conference. I am Italian, and have lived in the United States, Switzerland, Morocco, Italy, and now Panama. Outside of PANAMUN and school, I love the gym, watching movies, reading, hanging out with friends, and travelling!

My MUN journey started in 9th grade, where I defended Panama in the UNW committee with incredible delegates on my side that made me not only more confident during debate, but also enjoy PANAMUN so much more, and whom I will always be grateful for. That conference is what made me realise how much PANAMUN meant to me. As a learning experience that gifted me skills I still use, but also as a community that has made me feel like I belong to something greater. And because of this, it has sparked in me a passion that let me pursue other conferences such as METMUN, THIMUN, and MUN Italia, with PANAMUN XXXIV being my 8th MUN conference. As DSG, I hope to inspire anyone involved to find their voices, cultivate the collaboration the conference offers, and leave PANAMUN full of unforgettable memories and the drive to shape a better world through diplomacy.

I am beyond excited for PANAMUN XXXIV and to work alongside the rest of the Secretariat. See you all in October!
