My name is Paloma Reszler, and I am extremely honored to be the Deputy Secretary General of Middle School of PANAMUN XXXIV. I am currently 16, a junior at the International School of Panama. Although I was born in New York and lived there until I was five years old, I moved to Geneva, where I lived for 8 years, and later to Panama in 8th grade. My diverse upbringing allowed me to gain insight into contrasting cultures, growing my passion for international relations.

I began my MUN journey in my freshman year, when I was probably the most nervous delegate in my committee and hesitant to speak, despite my strong interest in the topics. However, this conference became a turning point, as PANAMUN allowed me to build confidence and develop a strong sense of community within MUN. I continued to participate in THIMUN and PANAMUN XXXII as a delegate, further immersing myself in MUN. In PANAMUN XXXIII, I had the opportunity to serve as a Chair, an experience that strengthened my leadership skills and deepened my appreciation for PANAMUN, ultimately inspiring me to take on a role within the Secretariat.

Because of the growth and confidence I gained through my own PANAMUN experience, I was inspired to become Deputy Secretary General of Middle School, creating that same positive environment for others. I am incredibly excited to work alongside the rest of the Secretariat to make PANAMUN XXXIV an unforgettable conference. I am committed to helping ensure that every participant has an enriching and memorable experience, and I cannot wait to see the impact this year’s conference will have on all those involved.

I am looking forward to seeing you all in October!
