Hello everyone!

My name is Sara Beltrán and I’m as honored as I am excited to be this year's High School Deputy Secretary General. I am now a Senior, and this year marks my seventh year being part of PANAMUN. This conference has been a constant in my life and it’s taught me countless soft and hard skills that have shaped me into the person that I am today.

Panama has been my home for the past ten years but I was born in Venezuela, and there is not a year that goes by where I don’t visit. Outside of PANAMUN, I’m an avid movie enthusiast. I also have a deep love for music and reading, and I’ve enjoyed running for some time now. I feel happiest when I’m spending quality time with my family or friends.

My connection to PANAMUN runs deep, inspired by my sister, who was nothing short of a PANAMUN icon. So much so, that it was one of the many things that I yearned for as I got into high school. Her stories about the rewarding and beautiful experiences she had always caught my eye, so as soon as I could, I applied for Chair, where I had the privilege of chairing UNESCO, which I still fondly think of as my PANAMUN “baby.”

This year represents a significant milestone in my PANAMUN journey, and I’m thrilled to share this experience with all of you. With this dedicated Secretariat, I’m confident that this year’s conference will be exceptional. PANAMUN has the power to unite, connect, and teach profoundly. I can only hope it will have the same impact on you as it had on me.

I can’t wait for October—see you there!
