Tomas Acuña
Hello, delegates! My name is Tomas Acuña Torres, currently a Sophomore at the International School of Panama, and I am very excited to be one of the chairs of the Middle School United Nations Human Rights Council in PANAMUN XXXIII. I was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, but I left before I could remember and have since lived all over the world. After spending the first 4 years of my life in Hanoi, I moved to New York for 5 years, before arriving to Panama in 2019 . I consider myself Costa Rican, since all of my family is from there. Furthermore, I have been at ISP for 6 years now, and have since participated in over five MUN conferences. I started attending conferences as a 6th grader, where I developed a significant love for debate. Throughout those conferences, I developed and improved many skills, such as my diplomacy and public speaking. My experience as a delegate has taught me the importance of always giving your full effort in everything, regardless of the role you are assigned or the circumstances you find yourself in. I am extremely excited to meet all of you, and I promise to try my absolute best to ensure that we all have a diplomatic, productive, and most importantly, fun debate. I am looking forward to meeting you all soon!
