Paloma Rezler

Hello, delegates! My name is Paloma Reszler, I am a Junior at the International School of Panama. I am extremely excited to be one of your United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) chairs! Although I was born in New York, I am Swiss and moved to Geneva where I lived for 8 years, and moved to Panama in 8th grade. Throughout my 3 years being a student at ISP I have participated in 3 MUN conferences, gathering experiences worldwide from PANAMUN to THIMUN. I started my MUN journey in my freshman year of high school where I developed public speaking and diplomacy skills in the UNDP committee. Additionally, MUN has further developed my research, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Outside of school I pursue track and field and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. As a chair, I am excited to guide you all through a fruitful debate where you can enjoy debate and get to learn about the world as much as I do. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or my co-chair, and we’ll be happy to help. I’m excited to see and support you as you develop creative solutions!

Marina

Hello delegates! My name is Florencia Coto and I am delighted to be one of the co-chairs for the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for PANAMUN XXXIII. When the conference takes place, I will be 16 years old and a sophomore at the American Nicaraguan School. I had the privilege of participating in PANAMUN last October as a ninth graders in the UNDP and it was a truly formative experience in my debate journey. Not only did I get the opportunity to meet wonderful people and talk about topics I was extremely passionate about, but it also helped me explore and deepen my love for the finding of common solutions, the exchange of ideas, and the power of diplomacy for change. I have also participated in other academic debate experiences such as HACIA Democracy, and have chaired twice for the Organization of American States, school- and nation-wide in Nicaragua. As your chair, I look forward to inspiring you to speak up, challenge ideas, and propose bold solutions to the issues shaping our world today. Through debate, you have the opportunity to prove that your voice matters and that you have the power to change the course of the world. Shifting from academics, I have a love for classical arts, listening to music, and spending time with the people I love. I hope that you have an amazing experience in this conference and make the most of what it has to offer. See you there!
