Hello, Delegates! My name is Candelaria Plavan. I am currently a junior at the International School of Panama. I am extremely excited to be one of your United Nations Economic and Social Council chairs! I was born in Uruguay; however, I moved to Panama when I was three years old, before living in Costa Rica for three years. I've been in ISP since 9th grade and participated in 4 conferences, gathering experience worldwide from Panama to international conferences. I started my MUN journey in 6th grade, where I developed public speaking and diplomacy skills in many committees. MUN is a great way to develop and enhance various lifelong skills, including research, diplomacy, and problem-solving. It's a great way to raise your voice and learn about global issues. Outside of school, I pursue tennis, swimming, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting you all in October!
