Greetings Delegates! My name is Luca Melillo, and I currently attend the International School of Panama (ISP). I will be one of your United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) chairs for this PANAMUN conference. I was born in Panama and have lived here my whole life, and I joined ISP at the beginning of 2025. The first time I attended a PANAMUN conference was last year, and I happened to be a delegate at UNCTAD as well. In my free time, I enjoy having good food, travelling, playing the piano, and playing tennis. I look forward to seeing you, the delegates, diplomatically debate and create cohesive solutions to the issues we’re presenting. PANAMUN, along with other MUN conferences, allows the next generation to develop their voices and engage meaningfully in solving the pressing challenges our world faces today. In UNCTAD, you will help countries access the benefits of the globalized economy more fairly and efficiently by focusing on sustainable development through trade.
