Michelle Aedo
Hello, delegates! My name is Michelle Aedo and I will be one of your chairs this year for PANAMUN XXXIII in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. I am currently a junior at the International School of Panama and have been here since last school year. I was born in Santiago, Chile and have moved around a lot since I was little to countries such as Brazil, Russia and Mexico. During my free time I practice volleyball and the piano. My first MUN conference was in 8th grade when I lived in Mexico City, and since then I’ve attended one other conference and participated in debate at my old schools. Throughout my debate and MUN experience, I’ve learned to analyze complex global issues, think critically, and express my own thoughts and ideas with clarity to others. I love the challenge of crafting insightful and compelling arguments and engaging in meaningful discussions with other delegates. As your chair, I ask that you are respectful to your fellow delegates, other chairs and staff members and that you come adequately prepared for the debate. I am thrilled to be one of your chairs for PANAMUN XXXIII and can’t wait to meet you all! Please reach out to me or my co-chair if you have any doubts or concerns.

Sijia Ding
Hello everyone! My name is Sijia Ding, but you may call me Sophia! I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama, and I am very honored to serve as one of your chairs in PANAMUN XXXIII in the UNESCO committee this year. I am originally from China, but I moved to the UAE when I was 6 years old, and I lived there for 8 years before moving to Panama, where I have stayed now for 4 years. My MUN journey started back in 9th grade when I participated in the PANAMUN XXX conference as a delegate in SOCHUM. Ever since then, I have participated in two more conferences which have helped me improve my skills as a critical thinker, public speaker, and researcher. During my free time, I like to play the violin, dance, sing, watch anime, listen to music, and spend time with my friends and family. I believe that PANAMUN is a space for us to address the world’s most pressing issues while challenging ourselves to work together to come up with creative resolutions. As your chair, I am committed to making our debate an engaging, respectful, and fruitful one. Let’s work together to make this an unforgettable conference!

Isabella Garcia
Hello fellow delegates, I’m Isabella Garcia and I’m a junior at ISP. I’m Venezuelan but have lived in Panama for most of my life. This is my fourth year in Panamun and it has always been a memorable experience. I started as a delegate, where I discovered my passion for global issues and research. ESch conference has taught me the importance of collaboration and stepping out of my comfort zone.
Indeed, Panamun has been great adding value to my life, personal as well as academic. It has made me think critically, made me confident in speaking, and made me spend time with people from various backgrounds. The relationships developed and the lessons learned have administered to me a long-lasting impact.
This year, I am really thrilled by the prospect of being a member of the Admin Team. Being on this side of the conference has made me realize the effort that goes into such a smooth running of Panamun. I am truly thankful for this chance to give back to the very conference that has given me so much, and look forward to working on making this one, if not the best, then definitely unforgettable Panamun session for you all. Good Luck!!!
