Hello delegates. My name is Mateo Santamaria. I attend the International School of Panama (ISP) as a sophomore and a part of the graduating class of 2029. During PANAMUN XXXIV, I will be one of your Chairs in the World Health Organization (WHO). I am 15 years old and born in Panama City, where I stayed for 9 months, and then moved directly to the Dominican Republic living for 3 years, and moving once again to Panama at the age of 4, then moving 3 years later at the age of 7 to Guatemala, moving again at the age of 10 to Ecuador, staying there for 2 years, and then now, 4 years in Panama. I have 1 year of debate experience, but I have been dedicated to work, starting in my Freshman year, and ever since, I have fallen in love with debating, from speaking up on my opinion to fighting for what is right in my eyes. I look forward to seeing you all on the first day, to get to know you, and to always be there for any help. Either if its your first conference or not, I am excited to hear the rising voices of debating. Alongside my co-chair, I look forward to starting the debate on the right foot by making it a productive and successful conference, hoping that you, as the delegate, can ensure you have an enjoyable time.
