Committee info

The United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) is a commission established in 1993 by the General Assembly under its resolution 46/235. CSTD is the principal committee that provides high level advice and support on modern science and technology development to the UN and the world. Issues such as technology in modern warfare, cyber protection, cyber terrorism, health technology, and renewable technology have all been addressed in the commission. It actively discusses on the contribution to the rapid growth of technological advancements by addressing possible issues that could pose a threat to the nation. The main goals of our committee are to analyze the role of science and technology in developments, determine the necessary policies in science and technology advancements, and support countries with guidelines for issues regarding to science and technology.
