Committee info

The United Nations Peace Building Committee, initially established in December 20 2005, was created with the mission of achieving sustainable peace and helping countries that are in critical conflict, so they don't go back to their conflicts. The committee also helps countries that just recently emerged achieve peace and prevent violence. The UNPB committee provides financial resources, guidance, and coordinated support. The committee does this to uphold human rights, strengthen governance, rebuild security sectors, and promote socio-economic development. By finding the root causes, and tackling them, the UNPB committee ensures a stable and safe future free from violence in conflict affected regions. Their most recent contributions include aiding and assisting countries like the Central African Republic, to which they donated approximately 20 million dollars, Colombia and carrying out countless research efforts in development aid. They work to create a safe and peaceful environment for women and children, support the post-pandemic world, and finance initiatives, demonstrating their commitment to Breaking Cycles and Creating Long Lasting Solutions
