Hello delegates! My name is Maria Gabriela Young. I'm currently a sophomore at the International School of Panama. I'll be one of your chairs for PANAMUN XXXIV in the Middle School Human Rights Council. I am from Panama, and I have attended ISP my entire life. My first MUN conference was in 6th grade, where I was a delegate in the MS WHO, and I instantly knew it was something I wanted to continue pursuing. Since then, I have attended four MUN conferences, which have helped me develop diplomacy and research skills that I’ve been able to apply to other aspects of my life, such as volleyball, learning new languages, and other academic activities. MUN is truly an enriching experience, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have. Through my past conferences, I’ve learned the importance of collaboration and discipline—values that I hope to encourage throughout our sessions. I am very excited to meet all of you and guide you through this conference. I’m committed to making PANAMUN a collaborative, engaging, and memorable experience for everyone.
