Dear Delegates, Welcome to PANAMUN XXXIV! My name is Jacopo Gaetani, I am a Senior at the Liceo Frances International de Panama, and I am honored to be your chair for a new committee: United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism. I am Italian-Mexican, and I have lived in Panama for the past 10 years. I started debating two years ago at PANAMUN XXXII, because I always had a profound enjoyment for discussions/school debates, and because my father (who works in UNEP) gets to assist in these committees in real life and encouraged me to do them myself. I have participated in 4 MUNs, and have had such an amazing time in each and every one of them. These conferences have helped me develop communication and writing skills that I will hold grateful for in my future career. Apart from debating, I really enjoy going out and hanging out with my friends, playing video games, and going on hikes and biking all over Panama City. I look forward to meeting and helping my delegates have the best experience possible in this PANAMUN XXXIV!
